New Goodwill in Sterling to Open its Doors and Help the Community

The D.C. area is getting a brand new Goodwill store, opening its doors on April 13th in Sterling, Virginia. This will be the 22nd Goodwill location in the region, bringing a treasure trove of pre-loved items and a commitment to making a positive social impact.

Located at 45380 Manifest Boulevard, the store has been eagerly accepting donations since February and is now bursting with fantastic finds waiting to be discovered. But Goodwill is about more than just snagging a great deal on a unique piece. Goodwill of Greater Washington highlights that this new store will create around 30 jobs for local residents.

That's not all! Goodwill stores are pillars in their communities. They use revenue generated by their sales to fund important programs – job training, employment placement services, and other initiatives. An impressive 94 cents of every dollar earned by Goodwill goes directly back into these programs.

While Goodwill has been a retail mainstay for decades, they've also kept pace with the times. They recently launched their online marketplace, GoodwillFinds.com, less than two years ago, making it even easier to discover unique treasures.

The impact of Goodwill extends far beyond the walls of their stores. In their most recent fiscal year, Goodwill of Greater Washington assisted a remarkable 22,000 people in their job searches and successfully placed over 6,300 people into employment.

So, whether you're a seasoned Goodwill shopper or a curious newcomer, be sure to mark your calendar for the grand opening on April 13th! You'll not only find fantastic deals but also be contributing to a worthy cause that empowers individuals and strengthens the community.
